Job Description Summary

The Multimedia Technologist/Trainer ( MTT ) will program multimedia solutions and deliver training on systems, applications, and associated processes that support academic and business needs of the College. The MTT will use programming skills to develop learning products such as learning modules and learning objects using advanced multimedia, graphic design, and rapid e-learning authoring software. The MTT will upload these solutions into learning management systems, servers, and other platforms. The MTT will partner with the stakeholders to develop, implement, and train on processes and tools that support the creation and integration of multimedia solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Associate degree or equivalent formal training in a technology related field. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  2. Combination of education and experience in multimedia development and technology training for a total of 6 years.
  3. Experience with a variety of multimedia development tools, such as HTML, CSS, Camtasia, Adobe Creative suite, and other web-based learning tools.

  1. Education and/or training related to multimedia development; experience using text, pictures, graphics, animation, audio and video to deliver information.
  2. Experience delivering technology training and coordinating with diverse and cross-functional groups.
  3. Experience developing and maintaining courses within a learning management system, Blackboard preferred.
  4. Proficiency with HTML, CSS, Camtasia, Adobe Pro suite, and other web-based learning tools.
  5. Highly motivated, capable of self-direction, oriented to detail, and team worker.
  6. Experience programming multimedia solutions using advanced techniques and software packages.
  7. Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  8. Ability to effectively communicate in spoken and written Standard English.


Job Requirements

  1. Must be available to work Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Work schedule subject to change based on the needs of the department.
  2. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
  3. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
