Senior Director and Chief Procurement Officer (Admin. II)
The Senior Director and Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) reports to the Associate Vice President for Financial Services and serves as the Chief Procurement Officer for Sacramento State.
The position provides management, administration, and supervision for the three distinct departments, Procurement & Contract Services, Accounts Payable & Travel, and Property Management/Central Receiving. Provide technical expertise and guidance with direct functional support on vital strategic and complex arrangements. Serve as key campus representative to interface and maintain strong communication and partnership with Chancellor’s Office legal team on procurement, contracts, accounts payable and property management matters. Builds and fosters internal relationships with the campus departments, and externally with suppliers, regulatory agencies, the Chancellor’s Office and other campuses to deliver strategic support to the campus departments. Identify and integrate creative solutions such as “procure to pay” (P2P), expansion of the university credit card program, strategic sourcing, eProcurement, contract management, Concur travel management, electronic payment, vendor management and expansion of property/surplus property management. Utilizes comprehensive campus and market data to identify strategic relationships, value-added solutions, manage strategic priorities. Be an active participating member and provide support to the CSU Chief Procurement Officers Association (CPOA). Develops, interprets and applies policies, guidelines and procedures and ensures compliance with all standards and regulations of the CSU and State of California.
