SENIOR ADVISOR FOR STRATEGIC ENGAGEMENTS, DIRECTORATE FOR COMPUTER AND INFORMATION SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

NSF’s Directorate for Computer and Information Science and Engineering (CISE) is seeking a candidate for the position of Senior Advisor for Strategic Engagements. The incumbent serves a member of the CISE leadership team, assists the CISE Assistant Director and Deputy Assistant Director in the formulation of the directorate’s goals, objectives, and priorities; the integration of scientific and technical priorities into effective policies, strategies, and programs; and the conduct of program planning, implementation, and evaluation, all in the context of strategic engagements with external partners at other agencies and in other sectors. CISE supports research to enable the U.S. to uphold a position of world leadership in computing, communications, and information science and engineering.  Information about the Directorate’s activities may be found at http://www.nsf.gov/home/cise/.

 

Appointment to the Senior Advisor for Strategic Engagements positions may be on a permanent or temporary basis, with a salary range of $170,740 to $189,296.  Alternatively, the incumbent may be assigned under the Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA) provisions.
