ASHS - Adjunct Faculty DMSc

A.T. Still University's Arizona School of Health Sciences (ATSU-ASHS) is seeking applications for non-exempt Capstone adjunct faculty for the Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) program. Adjunct Faculty for the online Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) teach 10-week online doctoral level courses. Courses are offered 2 to 4 times each year over the course of two semesters. Adjuncts utilize a professionally developed course and are expected to deliver the content comprehensively, via the online platform Canvas, with excellent feedback and communication to the students. Class sizes are no more than 25 students. Adjuncts are expected to reply to students within 48-72 hours.

Adjunct faculty members in the DMSc program must be highly skilled in positively interacting with students at a post-graduate level in a distance learning setting. Adjunct faculty engage in instruction that is collaborative and aligns with the mission of the university. They will provide a learning environment that encourages and supports student success while initiating and maintaining frequent communication and interaction between students and the instructor.

Adjuncts must hold a doctorate degree in a field related to the subject matter being taught; preference is given to PAs with a doctorate. Experience
Online doctoral teaching experience in the areas: education, leadership, healthcare, and physician assistant studies. Preferably a licensed/retired PA with a doctoral degree.
