The Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering at the University of Florida invites applications for a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure faculty position at the rank of Research Assistant Scientist in the Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering

The chosen candidate will lead workshops, webinars, and other training sessions on a variety of topics related to hardware and microelectronics security and assurance for its new Microelectronics Security Training (MEST) Center. Primary duties and responsibilities will include teaching, revising, and developing courses, both on-line and face-to-face, on microelectronics and hardware security; operating and training others to use the various instruments contained in the Security and Assurance (SCAN) Lab; preparing program reports; purchasing components and supplies; as well as consulting with and assisting participating faculty and individuals from industry or government agencies on the proper use of lab instruments and equipment. This position will require frequent travel for off-site training workshops.

The candidate should have a Ph.D. or M.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or a closely related discipline and possess expertise in the areas of hardware security and trust and/or with nano-imaging instruments and techniques and experience in applying evidence-based teaching techniques and methods to engineering courses.
