Job Description

The Munson Lab is hiring a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on NIH-funded projects involving immunity. The applicant will contribute to an NCATS-funded ImmuneChip project involving the development of a human lymph node on a chip as well as projects involving targeted immunotherapies in cancer. The specific work involves the implementation and testing of microfluidic systems, 3D multicellular tissue engineering involving endothelial, stromal, and immune cells, and probing patterning and immune-related outcomes. The candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary team of investigators, including clinicians, clinical trialists, chemists, and bioengineers, spanning multiple institutions. The candidate is expected to take a leadership role on the primary ImmuneChip project through presentations, drafting of manuscripts, and mentorship of students involved in the project.

Required Qualifications

A Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Biology, Immunology, or similar area.
Mammalian cell culture, fluorescence microscopy, live cell imaging, tissue engineering, immunostaining, cytokine analysis (ELISA, Multiplex, etc.). Track record of publications and presentations. Experience in mentorship and/or teaching. Commitment to diversity, inclusion and equity.

Preferred Qualifications

Microfluidics, Flow cytometry, primary cell culture, animal handling and experimentation, biomaterials use/manipulation, and image analysis. Work with immune cells or in immune-related fields is preferred.
