The Department of Information Systems in the School of Business at Virginia Commonwealth University is recruiting a pool of applicants for the Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 semester for possible adjunct teaching positions. This pool will be accessed only when an opening arises. Your credentials will remain active for one year after the date you submit them. After one year, if you are still interested in adjunct teaching, you must reapply to this adjunct pool.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. TEACHING
Teach courses in information systems as needed. These classes could be inclusive of all areas within the discipline
NOTE : Individuals who do not complete an application will not be considered for adjunct employment.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or IT-related discipline.
3-5 years employment experience in IS or IS-related position.
Strong oral presentation and communication skills.
Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU .
Preferred Qualifications
Masters of Science in Information Systems or IT-related discipline at the time the appointment begins.
Prior teaching experience is particularly welcome.
