Physicians will have the responsibility to contribute to the College's commitment to the advancement of knowledge and intellectual growth through teaching and clinical practice, and to the well-being of the community through leadership and service.

This individual will perform clinical and teaching duties at our Cambria Division Healthcare Center as a member of the PCOM Department of Family Medicine. Flexible schedules are available.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Maintaining a clinical (teaching) practice.
  • Assuring quality clinical care for healthcare center patients.
  • Implementing the PCOM ambulatory care curricula for medical students.
  • Using electronic medical records in the healthcare center.
  • Teaching students as assigned by the chair.
  • Assisting the Healthcare Center Medical Director(s) in the operations of the respective PCOM healthcare centers.
  • Remaining current with all charting, billing, and administrative duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements
*Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check. Education
  • Must have a DO or MD degree and be residency trained.
Experience
  • Must have experience in clinical primary care and teaching medical students.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
  • Current board certification
  • Active Pennsylvania license to practice with no restrictions
  • Current DEA license with no restrictions
  • Tail coverage for malpractice insurance
Physical Demands
  • This position requires the individual to be ambulatory and be able to stand for at least 8.5 hours per day.
  • Must be available for day, evening, and weekend work.
  • Must be available for Healthcare Center calls.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • This position reports to the respective Healthcare Center Medical Director(s) and the Chief Medical Officer of the Department of Family Medicine.
  • Will supervise medical students in the clinical environment of the Healthcare Center.
  • May participate in lecture and small group sessions to teach medical students.
