PCOM South Georgia


PCOM South Georgia is seeking to fill a part-time clinical faculty position in emergency medicine to teach campus lectures and skills laboratory.

Faculty members will develop meaningful relationships with students for academic, career, and personal advising. All faculty members contribute to the department and college through active participation on committees and other activities of the institution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Develop and manage a lecture schedule with assigned emergency medicine topics using primary source information.
  • Collaborate with faculty on test question review, curriculum, learning objectives and lectures; and analyze the outcomes for years one through four of medical school.
  • May participate in clinical lectures off-campus in residency programs or with an online system as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Position Requirements
*Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check. Education
  • Candidates should have a minimum of a doctorate degree in a related field (DO, MD) with five years of recent and related clinical experience.
Experience
  • Five (5) years of recent and related clinical experience.
  • A seasoned educator with experience in teaching and working with medical students in a clinical setting.
Certifications, Licenses, Registrations
  • Board certification in the candidate's field is desired.
  • Must have a valid driver's license as off-campus travel is required.
