Job Summary/Basic Function

As a Community Engagement Officer with Maryville University, you will perform the duties of a public health ambassador to help promote the health and safety of the Maryville University Community. This position will include general security duties consistent with the overall safety of our campus community. These duties include regular security-related patrol of campus while acting as a public health ambassador, reporting suspicious or hazardous situations, proactively patrolling on foot, utilizing department vehicles, staffing security posts as directed, and enforcing policies of the University.
This is a full-time, temporary position through the end of the Spring semester.
Applicants must be able to work day or afternoon shifts so that adequate staffing can be maintained. Occasional overtime may be required.
Minimum Qualifications
*High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
*Have and maintain a St. Louis County unarmed security license or be eligible within 30 days of start.
*Valid Missouri Driver's License or actively be in the process of obtaining one.
*Must be a U. S. Citizen
