Applications are invited for appointment as Non-Tenure Track Clinical Assistant Professor in Nephrology in the Department of Medicine (Ref.: 500537), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should possess a medical qualification registrable in Hong Kong and the M.R.C.P. (U.K.) or equivalent. They should be experienced in managing patients with acute and chronic medical problems in nephrology including dialysis and kidney transplantation, and demonstrate a strong commitment and aptitude towards teaching and research. Applicants should also be fluent in English and Cantonese, and preferably Putonghua, although teaching, research and professional activities are conducted in English. The appointee will provide regular clinical services and patient care in the Department of Medicine at the University’s teaching hospitals as well as engage in undergraduate teaching. In addition, he/she is expected to conduct high-quality scholarly research and undertake administrative work in the Department, Faculty and University. A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income. The appointments will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary. A monthly cash allowance will be offered to the successful candidate. Housing benefits will also be provided as applicable.
