The Reasoning and Data Analytics for Cybersecurity (ReDAS) Laboratory is offering a one-year Research Fellow position -renewable for 1+ additional year(s)- to design, develop and evaluate NLP and machine learning based techniques for deception detection.

Job Description:


Possesses, understands, and applies a comprehensive knowledge in area of Natural Language Processing, Deep Learning, Machine Learning, Fake News, and Deceptive Attacks. Develops understanding and skills to allow for completion of assignments that cross fields of specialization. Develops leadership and management skills.

  1. Receives/Reviews progress and evaluates results of experiments or projects under control or supervisory responsibility.
  2. Recommends changes in research, testing or experimental procedures.
  3. May be responsible for a single highly technical and complex piece of research equipment.
  4. May review and evaluate the effectiveness of personnel.
  5. May plan for and assign personnel to projects under control.
  6. Operates with latitude for unreviewed action.
  7. May receive general supervision conferring with higher levels only in unusual situations.
  8. Performs other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications :

A background and track record of peer-reviewed conference/journal publications in natural language processing/machine learning is compulsory
(phishing, spearphishing, fake news, deep learning, etc.).

Experience with designing, managing, and executing experiments is a mandatory requirement. Relevant knowledge and at least 3 years of experience in developing visual solutions with Python are mandatory.

Qualifications: Doctoral and No prior work experience required

Notes to Applicant: We are looking for a highly-motivated, independent, and skilled researcher with a Ph.D. degree and related experience in natural language processing, deep learning, artificial intelligence, and computer science/engineering with interest in fake news and deceptive attacks.A background and track record of peer-reviewed conference/journal publications in natural language processing/machine learning is compulsory (phishing, spearphishing, fake news, deep learning, etc.).Experience with designing, managing, and executing experiments is a mandatory requirement.
