The School of Humanities invites you to enroll in our Adjunct Instructor talent pool. Our adjuncts teach daytime and/or evening course(s). MVCC classes are offered in traditional classroom settings, online, and hybrid formats. Specific needs for instruction are determined at the beginning of each semester. You may be invited to apply as openings become available.

Qualifications:

Composition—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’s degree in discipline
Film Appreciation, Music Appreciation, Art Appreciation, Art History, and Philosophy—Master’s degree in related field
History—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’s degree in discipline
Journalism—Bachelor’s degree in related discipline &in experience in discipline
Literature—Master’s degree in related field & Bachelor’s degree in discipline
Speech—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or Theater
Technical Theater Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience
Theater—Master’s degree in related field
CF100 (College Foundations Seminar) Bachelor’s degree in related discipline
Critical Thinking/Reading—Master’s degree in related field
Educational Interpreting—Master’s degree in related field & Bachelor’s degree in discipline, certificate in discipline
ESL—Master’s degree in related field &Bachelor’s degree in discipline OR Master’s degree in discipline & Bachelor’s degree in related field
Foreign Language—Master’s degree in related field & Bachelor’s degree in discipline or equivalent experience (extended residence in country, for example)
Sign Language—Certificate in discipline
