Job Description:

Position Summary:

MassBay Community College seeks a qualified and enthusiastic part time instructor to teach a course in Tourism and/or Conference and Event Planning as a part of our Hospitality Management Certificate and Associate's Degree programs. Our adjunct instructors typically hold a Master's degree in a related discipline and have obtained appropriate certification and/or licensure where applicable.

For Fall 2017, Tourism will be held on Tuesday & Thursday from 9:30-10:45am

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare syllabi and develop curricula to address course and program requirements and student learning outcomes as appropriate;
  • Use technology (including but not limited to Blackboard) effectively to communicate with students and colleagues and to enhance classroom learning as appropriate.



Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree;
  • Relevant experience in the tourism and/or event planning industry.



Additional Information:

Education: Master's Degree (Significant relevant experience in the industry may be considered in lieu of a Master's degree)

Salary Range: $1,025.00-$1,239.00 per credit; Adjunct faculty compensation levels in accordance with qualifications and experience and subject to the collective bargaining agreement.
