Objective
100% grant funded from SDF and SSB, and corporate contract funded to instruct OSHA 10, OSHA 30 and other health, safety, security and environment training courses as appropriate for Blinn College district
Essential Duties
Training – 65%
Instruction at Corporate Locations, Rellis, Bryan, Brenham, Schulenburg and Sealy
Teach OSHA 10 and 30, and other health, safety, security and environment training courses as appropriate
Classroom duties include student attendance, grading, developing course specific content, etc.
Administration- 35%
Grant management and administrative activities related to curriculum and instruction
Promotion of courses offered in the health, safety, security, and environment topics
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be an OSHA Certified Instructor
3 years experience in general manufacturing industry
2 years experience in training adult learners
Preferred Experience and Training
OSHA 10 & 30 Certified Instructor for General Industry and Construction
5 years experience in manufacturing industry
2 years supervisory experience
2 years safety supervisory experience
Training/Instructor experience
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time while instructing
Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs.
Must be able to drive to locations
Required Degree, License or Certifications
OSHA Instructor Certification
Associate’s Degree

This position is 100% funded by grants, therefore, the position is not permanent and will be eliminated once the grant funding is spent or the fiscal year ends, whichever comes first.
