Nurse Practitioner (per diem)

Opening Details

Williams College Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide primary outpatient medical care and health promotion to our student community. This position is a per diem role, 8-hours per week during the 9-month academic year.

Resume review will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.


Responsibilities

• Handling physical examinations
• Diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries
• Managing chronic illnesses
• Providing wellness and disease prevention education to students

Qualifications

• Five (5) or more years of primary care experience
• Experience with young adult/college-aged populations desirable
• Sensitivity and the ability to work within and with a diverse population are required
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and accomplish multiple tasks in a fast paced work environment
• Experience working with an electronic health record is preferred
• A current Massachusetts Registered Nurse License (or License eligible) and current certification as an Adult or Family Nurse Practitioner and prescriptive authority in the state of Massachusetts is required
