Position Summary
A research group with a long-standing interest in mechanisms underlying DNA replication, DNA repair and DNA mutagenesis seeks a Research Support Specialist.
• It is expected that the candidate will work collaboratively with postdoctoral, graduate student and undergraduate student researchers
• Will independently execute varied experimental procedures
• Will have strong verbal and written communication skills
• Will process research results and write summary reports
• Will procure laboratory supplies, and will maintain laboratory reagents, stocks, and equipment.

Minimum Qualifications
B.A./B.S. (or M.A./M.S.) in Biochemistry or a similar discipline and 1 year or more research technician experience in biomedical research lab.
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred experience with the following techniques: General bacterial growth and manipulation; purification of DNA and RNA ; plasmid cloning; agarose gel electrophoresis; PCR ; DNA sequence analysis; site directed mutagenesis; SDS - PAGE ; Western blot analysis; protein overexpression; FPLC .
