JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for providing quality instruction to students enrolled in the Pharmacy Technician course (Quick Careers). The purpose of the instruction is to equip students with the necessary occupation-specific and employability skills for success in the workplace. This position is also responsible for maintaining required documents: class rosters, course syllabus, Student Membership Verification (SMV) forms, Classroom Sign in/out logs, student grade book, student progress notes, etc. Additionally, all adjuncts are required to complete Con Ed Moodle training in order to: build and/or maintain a Moodle site for hybrid or online courses and to access the Instructor Resource Site. EDUCATION REQUIRED 1. Associate's Degree in Pharmacy Technology or a related field from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. 2. Current Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPHT) credential. 3. North Carolina license as a Pharmacy Technician or the ability to attain one prior to hire. EDUCATION PREFERRED 1. Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited post-secondary institution. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED 1. Three years recent industry experience as a pharmacy technician either in a retail or medical environment. 2. Post-secondary teaching experience and/or industry training experience. EXPERIENCE PREFERRED 1. Teaching experience at a community college. 2. Greater than three years recent industry experience as a pharmacy technician either in a retail or medical environment. 3.
