LECTURER - HEALTH PROMOTION AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION



The Department of Health Promotion and Physical Education is developing an applicant pool for part-time lecturers for potential employment during the fall and spring of the 2020-2021 academic year. Lecturers are needed to teach various courses in health sciences, public health, health and physical education, and health care management. Possible course categories are as follows, but teaching opportunities are not necessarily limited to these areas: epidemiology, public health program planning, human nutrition, physical education teaching, motor skills development, legal and ethical issues in health policy.

Job Qualifications

Applicants are required to hold a master’s degree; PhD and college teaching preferred. A bachelor’s degree and professional experience will be considered for some disciplines. Some courses require school teaching experience.

This position is covered by the SEIU. All bargaining unit faculty members shall be covered by the collective bargaining agreement between Ithaca College and Services Employees International Union, Local 200United. Part-time or adjunct bargaining unit employees are all part-time faculty employed by Ithaca College at its Ithaca, New York campus including but not limited to faculty in the titles of Lecturer or Adjunct.
