Job Details
The Rowan University Department of Music announces an Adjunct Professor of Euphonium position (part-time, non-tenure track) to begin September 1, 2020. The successful candidate will join a thriving music program and Brass Division with a proud and long-standing tradition of excellence in music education and performance. The Department of Music is committed to providing collaborative opportunities and inclusive programming for its nearly 400 music majors. This Adjunct Euphonium Professor must demonstrate excellence as a teacher of euphonium, as well as significant experience and accomplishment as a performer, and brass chamber music coach. A master’s degree in music is required.
The primary responsibility of the position is to teach weekly applied lessons for undergraduate and graduate students. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Brass Division Faculty in performance and recruiting, and the Director of Bands on auditions and recruiting. In addition, The Atlantic Brass Band (three-time national champions and ensemble-in-residence) is looking for a new player for their Baritone/Euphonium row and welcomes the opportunity to work with the successful candidate.
