POSITION SUMMARY:

South University seeks adjunct faculty who are experienced Research Methodologists to fill dissertation chair and committee member positions in our DBA program. The faculty will report to the Assistant Director for the DBA, serving as dissertation chairs or committee members responsible for mentoring the student through the research process, reading drafts, and providing feedback in a timely manner. Specifically, faculty will be required to chair or serve as second or third members on dissertation committees as methodologists/research design experts. Depending on student enrollment, the faculty may be invited to instruct content courses or to instruct research methodology courses they are credentialed to teach. This is a virtual/remote position.

KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Doctorate in Organizational Behavior, Leadership or related Social Science field from an accredited institution required

  • Experience serving as research methodologist on doctoral committees within last 4 years preferred

  • Strong research methodology background in quantitative, qualitative, and/or mixed methods in research

  • Proficient in APA -

  • Commitment to advocating for the learning and development needs of students earning their degrees in a distance learning environment; supervising student research at the graduate level

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills with high level of responsiveness

  • Experience in higher education online instruction

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic communications
