This course is offered in an online asynchronous format.
Qualifications
PhD in related field
Job Specific Qualifications
Experience teaching upper level courses in the areas of drought ecology and climate change. Online teaching experience desired.
Responsibilities
Developing and/or updating a class syllabus.
Ordering the appropriate books and materials in advance of the class start date.
Preparation of lectures, projects or other student assignments including any necessary online coursework.
Maintaining regularly scheduled office hours of 1 hour per week.
Presenting instruction based on the competencies and performance levels of the class.
Meeting all designated class periods. If you are unable to meet your class due to illness or emergency, you should exercise your best effort to reschedule the class or to obtain a substitute. You must also notify your school of your absence and of your plan to cover the class.
Working with the academic unit to maintain student learning outcomes.
Submitting completed final grades according to University regulations.
Grading student assignments and exams in timely manner.
Providing departmentally sanctioned forms for completed student evaluations.
Physical Requirements Tools/Equipment
Access to reliable computer and internet service appropriate for online instruction
