The Whitney Laboratory of Marine Bioscience/Department of Biology at the University of Florida invites applications for a postdoctoral associate to conduct experimental research on the mechanisms of aquatic animal locomotion. We seek a highly motivated applicant with a well-developed research program who has obtained a Ph.D. in biology, neuroscience, physics, engineering or related field. Research experience at the intersection of biomechanics and neuroscience, including background in programming, is highly valued.

The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work in Dr. James Liao’s group, as well as with the departments of biology, engineering and computer science in Gainesville.

The preferred start date is July 1st, 2019.

The position is renewable annually for up to three years based on satisfactory performance. A competitive salary and funds for research/travel will be provided, and the position includes a benefits package.
