The University of North Carolina at Greensboro’s Religious Studies Department seeks a talented teacher-scholar at the advanced assistant or associate level eager to serve an initial term as director of undergraduate studies. Duties include student advising and curriculum development. The department is looking for an energetic person with a commitment to active research and undergraduate teaching in the best tradition of the liberal arts. Field of specialization open, but should complement existing strengths in the department. Fields of expertise might include religions in the Americas, American religious diversity, and diasporic communities.

Candidate must have a Ph.D. in Religious Studies or related field. Tenure will be offered at the Associate Professor rank depending on selected candidates qualifications. Candidates should have an interest in contributing to key College and University programs (Freshmen Seminar, Honors, and Residential Colleges) and in active engagement with students and colleagues both in and out of the classroom.
