Africana Literature & African American Politics, Advanced Assistant Professor, Associate Professor,

The Clara Luper Department of African & African American Studies, housed in College of Arts & Sciences (CAS) at the University of Oklahoma, is beginning a multi-year period of expansion and renewal. As part of the growth of this progressive unit, applications are being solicited for an Advanced Assistant Professor/Associate Professor/Full Professor in Africana Literature or African American Politics. We are especially interested in candidates who approach these areas from a transnational and/or comparative Diaspora perspective. The faculty position is a nine-month appointment and includes teaching four courses each academic year.

Qualifications: Candidates should have a PhD in a relevant discipline and a record of distinguished teaching and scholarly publication.
