Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate must meet one of the following criteria:
1. Master's degree or higher in fine arts*, art, or art history from an accredited college or university; OR
2. Bachelor's degree in any of the above AND a Master's degree in humanities from an accredited college or university; OR
3. Valid California Community College instructor credential appropriate to the subject per Education Code 87355 (issued prior to July 1, 1990); OR
4. A combination of education and experience that is at least the equivalent of items 1 or 2 above (Applicants applying on the basis of equivalency must complete all Equivalency questions on their application in addition to all other required materials).
Note: "Master's in Fine Arts" as used here refers to any Master's degree in the subject matter of fine arts, which is defined to include visual studio arts such as drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, textiles, and metal and jewelry art, also art education and art therapy. It does not refer to the "Master of Fine Arts" ( MFA ) degree when that degree is based upon specialization in performing arts or dance, film, video, photography, creative writing, or other non-plastic arts.

regarding the institution, course titles, unit value, and level of
course work (graduate, upper division, etc.) and to which degree(s)
it is equivalent. Transcripts and copies of course descriptions

experience (teaching and non-teaching) that should be considered to
