Assistant Professor of Spanish with research interests in Medieval and Spanish Golden Age Literature, secondary area open, beginning August 2019. Position is tenure-track, salary competitive and involves teaching a wide range of lower- and upper-division courses in language, literature, and culture outside the specialization.  Candidates should have Ph.D. at time of appointment, native-like command of Spanish and English, and university teaching experience beyond their specialization. Candidates should demonstrate scholarly potential and be willing to engage in both departmental and university service. Willingness to direct language and study abroad programs desired.  Ability to participate in comparative literature and M.A. humanities programs a plus.
