The University of Florida Department of Pediatrics is pleased to announce a faculty position opening for a full-time pediatric psychologist in the Section of Behavior and Developmental Pediatrics, Division of General Pediatrics. This position will be non-tenure track at the rank of Assistant Professor.

The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary behavioral health team that is co-located and integrated into a large, multi-site general pediatrics practice within an academic medical center. Patients are referred to the team by general pediatric providers and pediatric subspecialty providers within and without UF Health.

The psychologist will provide a broad range of outpatient behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and their families, including triage, consultation, care coordination, DSM 5 diagnostic assessments, psychological testing, problem-focused, evidence-based interventions, and referrals to other behavioral health and general pediatrics providers at UF Health and in the community as needed. Assignment will be comprised of clinical assessment and evaluation, psychosocial therapies, research, teaching and administrative activities

Required

  • Doctoral Degree in Psychology (PhD or PsyD)
  • Completed an APA Accredited Internship and Post-Doctoral Residency
  • Active/Unrestricted License in the State of Florida or license eligible in the State of Florida.
  • Training in an autism-focused track or track that had a significant component of time spent in assessment/treatment of autism and other developmental disabilities.
  • Experience providing evidenced based treatment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
  • Experience with clinical interviewing and a variety of psychological testing instruments for children toddler-age through adolescence in the following domains (Intelligence, Achievement, Language, Attention, Executive Functioning, Social/Behavioral/Emotional Functioning).
  • Specific knowledge/training for the following assessments:
    • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2) ā€“ Toddler module and Modules 1-4
    • Clinical Evaluation of Language Fundamentals, Fifth Edition (CELF-5) or other comprehensive language measures
    • Leiter International Performance Scale, Third Edition (Leiter-3)
    • Wechsler Individual Achievement Test, Third Edition (WIAT-III) or Woodcock Johnson Tests of Achievement, Fourth Edition (WJ-Ach-IV)
    • Adaptive Behavior Assessment System, Third Edition (ABAS-3) or Vineland Adaptive Behavior Scales, Third Edition
    • Social Communication Questionnaire (SCQ)
    • Social Responsiveness Scale, Second Edition (SRS-2)


Preferred

  • Experience with interdisciplinary case collaboration with other professionals treating child with autism spectrum disorder, such as developmental pediatricians, child psychiatrists, speech therapists, and occupational therapists.
  • Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised
