Assistant Professor, Theology

Assistant Professor, Theology (Olivet University-Wingdale, NY) Instruction: Teach onsite/online courses, including: MINS710 Pastoral Counseling, MINS602 Individual and Family Development, MINS850 Doctoral Independent Study. Prepare course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts. Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments and products. Maintain student attendance, grades and other required records. Advising: Serve as academic advisor to students; serving on university committees; engaging in scholarly activities, and/or creative endeavors which contribute to the academic mission of the University. Advise, assist, and mentor students. Counseling students. Professional development and research & development: Develop and improve courses (Marriage and Family Counseling and Therapy) and learning materials. Conduct professional creative activities or academic research and keep abreast of development in the field by studying and reading current literature and participating in professional conferences/seminars. Engaging with external institutions, organizations and the wider community to support research, teaching and school strategic objectives. Acting as a reviewer for academic journals University/community service: Participate and contribute to college and university faculty meetings Participate in OTCS (Olivet Theological College and Seminary) Student Services staff meetings.
