Carroll College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track ASSISTANT PROFESSOR of Psychology position to begin August 2018. We seek a candidate with expertise in Clinical Psychology and/or Developmental Psychology, as well as a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, research and writing. Teaching responsibilities will include courses in Counseling Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Lifespan Development, Adolescent Psychology, and General Psychology with additional courses determined by the candidate’s areas of expertise and the needs of the department.  Preference is given for candidates with teaching and research interests in clinical AND developmental psychology, such as mental health among youth, however, candidates with interests in other areas of psychology may also be considered.  Demonstrated curriculum development and teaching excellence preferred.  An earned doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychology, or a closely related field by fall 2018 is required. Applicants should submit a 1) letter of interest, 2) curriculum vitae, 3) three letters of recommendation, 4) statement of teaching philosophy, 5) evidence of teaching excellence, 6) research statement which addresses how applicant plans to integrate undergraduate students into research interests 7) sample of scholarly work, and 8) response to Carroll’s mission statement electronically to employment@carroll.edu.
