The College of Wooster seeks a one-year joint position in the Departments of English and Communication.  Expertise in transnational American literary and cultural studies, with specialty in global media—digital, cinematic, and/or journalistic. We welcome engagement with issues of race and ethnicity, gender and sexuality, or environmental studies. Must be qualified to teach writing at all levels and courses in textual and cultural interpretation. The 3/3 course load includes introductory through advanced offerings within the departments; one course credit may be devoted to advising five theses in the College’s signature Senior Independent Study program. Ph.D. required.

The College of Wooster enrolls a diverse student body (20% domestic students of color and 11% international students); applicants should have experience with diverse student populations. Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, copies of unofficial graduate transcripts. teaching statement, research statement, writing sample of 25 pages or less, diversity statement, and three reference letters through Interfolio by February 12, 2018.
