The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute are recruiting a Non-Invasive Cardiologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. In addition to providing patient care, the successful candidate will be involved in the teaching of medical students, internal medicine residents and cardiology fellows. Opportunities also exist in clinical research. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, it is expected that candidates sustain an outstanding, extramurally supported research program.

Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree (the employer accepts foreign educational equivalent) and be eligible to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license. Candidates must be board-certified, or board eligible in in internal medicine and certified or eligible in cardiovascular disease with additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT and/or MRI. For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor rank, a demonstrated track-record of leadership, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.

While this position will be primarily based at Berkeley Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV as well as the Winchester, VA clinic, the WVU Heart Institute operates several satellite clinics in West Virginia, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Maryland, whereby section faculty will possibly be expected to practice.
