The school opened at Robert De Niro’s Tribeca Film Center in New York City, and has expanded worldwide to include campuses in New York; Los Angeles; Miami; and Gold Coast, Australia.
Job Responsibilities
- Coordinate compliance programs for Title IX, VAWA/Campus SaVE Act, Clery Act, and all other relevant sexual discrimination, harassment, and misconduct legislation; monitor and implement actions to comply with Title IX, including other state and federal laws and regulations; promote commitment to working, learning and living environments free from harassment, discrimination and sexual misconduct
- Oversee the college's response to all Title IX complaints; ensure investigations comply with the NYFA’s written procedures and Title IX requirements under NYFA’s Sex-Based Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct Policy, including notices, timelines, training, and interim actions
- Develop and periodically update policies and procedures necessary to achieve compliance with Title IX and other federal, state, and local laws, including investigation procedures
- Implement education and prevention programs for students and employees, as well as Complainant and Respondent resource programs
- Provide oversight, training, and leadership for all Title IX initiatives and maintain accurate records of all compliance efforts
- Conduct an annual review of all formal and informal Title IX complaints and reports in order to identify and address any patterns or systemic problems that require attention
- Provide oversight of all reports, complaints, and investigations related to sexual misconduct
- Coordinate and oversee the development and implementation of periodic assessments (e.g. surveys) of campus climate
- Demonstrates a commitment to a procedurally-sound, student-centered, trauma-informed, educationally focused and restorative student conduct philosophy that ensures a connection between the incidents under review, hearing conversations, sanction decisions, and the learning needs of students and organizations
- Serves and actively participates as a member of the office Dean of Students team to support team cohesion within the department, the wellbeing and personal/professional growth of staff and the establishment of methods through which the impact of collective programs and services offered can be communicated effectively
- Provides leadership and assumes responsibility for the orientation of the campus community to the Student Conduct Code and Sex-Based Discrimination and Sexual Misconduct policies
- Serves as a hearing officer for non-academic student conduct cases and organizational misconduct
- Manages the process and systems for Title IX, student conduct, grievances, and Care Team including maintaining the system of record for complaints and monitoring complaint logs for systemic issues.
- Serves on campus-wide committees and task forces, including Drug and Alcohol Policy task force, Academic Planning and Policy Committee, Diversity, Inclusion & Equity Council, and others as needed.
- Assist with drafting internal policies and procedures
- Conduct document review
- Draft memorandums, investigative reports, notices, and correspondences
- Prepare and make presentations
- Attend meetings & strategy sessions
- Work on project-related initiatives as requested

Essential Skills and Knowledge Include:
- Comprehensive knowledge of and ability to interpret federal and state nondiscrimination laws, including Title IX, VAWA/Campus SaVE Act, Clery Act, Affirmative Consent law and all other relevant Sexual Discrimination/Harassment/Misconduct legislation and policies.
- Demonstrated ability to independently and efficiently manage a caseload, and the ability to prioritize.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and strong public speaking and presentation skills.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail: highly motivated, self-directed execution of routine and special projects.
- Strong interpersonal skills: demonstrated ability to function well in both leader and teammate roles and interact with colleagues and superiors in a positive and constructive manner when faced with significant deadlines or workloads.
- Experience in and awareness of the sensitivity required when interacting with, supervising, and addressing the needs of a diverse community on sensitive topics.
- Experience in trauma informed investigations and interviewing skills and/or understanding of the impact of trauma on investigations and/or victims of violence.
- Computer proficiency in programs including Excel, Microsoft Word, Power Point and web-based applications.
- Experience with Maxient and updating databases and other matter tracking technology preferred
- Experience facilitating the assessment of program and learning outcomes
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in student personnel, higher education, counseling, organizational behavior or similar field is required .
- Five years of relevant student affairs experience, including progressive management responsibilities and demonstrated experience in student conduct administration
- Working knowledge of and experience with relevant federal policies, including the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and Title IX compliance in a higher education setting
- Experience facilitating the assessment of program and learning outcomes
