The University of Florida, Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition, part of UF Health, the Southeast's most comprehensive academic health center, invites applicants for a full-time, Ast/Aso/Full Professor with skills in general gastroenterology, endoscopy, and clinical education. Rank and Tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications.

The ideal applicant will be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology. Clinical duties would include weekly outpatient clinics, endoscopy, and staffing of the GI inpatient and consult services at UF Health Shands Hospitals. Teaching of fellows, residents, and students is expected. A focus in the areas of outcomes studies, gut microbiome, GI malignancy, and obesity would be welcomed. Multiple collaborative research and clinical research opportunities exist in the areas of pancreatic diseases, GI malignancy, experimental and animal endoscopy, IBD, new technology development, obesity, motility disorders, and gut microbiome. The program trains 12 – 13 fellows per year, and multiple opportunities for educational scholarship exist.

The Gainesville region has an inexpensive cost of living, nationally ranked middle and high schools, and superb weather with endless year-round recreational opportunities. Salary is negotiable, commensurate with education and experience.

Must be board certified or board eligible in Gastroenterology; and eligible for a Florida Medical License.
