Assistant Professor in South Asian Literature

The Department of Asian Languages and Literatures in the College of Liberal Arts at the University of Minnesota invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position beginning fall semester 2018 (08/27/2018). We seek expertise in the analysis of South Asian literature or other cultural texts from the modern period. Areas of interest will include postcolonial, gender/sexuality, and religious studies. Appointment will be 100% time over the nine-month academic year (late-August to late-May). Appointment will be at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor consistent with collegiate and University policy.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in South Asian Studies, Comparative Literature, or related field and teaching experience.
