Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from a four-year college or university with course work including nine semester hours in programming or the candidate may substitute work experience instead of the programming course work. i.e. if the candidate has been writing reports and SQL queries as part of their work experience that can stand in for the nine semester hours of programming.

If the candidate's degree is not in a related field (such as Computer Information Systems, Computer Science), they must have work experience similar to this position.

Degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. License/Certification Required Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Business Affairs is an administrative division within Appalachian State University. Our mission is to provide the most effective and efficient accounting and budgeting of the university's financial resources, while also providing exemplary services that maintain the support necessary for the infrastructure, safety and physical operation of the campus.

The primary purpose of this unit, Business Systems, is to provide development, implementation, and maintenance of systems accounting, procedures, security, reporting, and training for Business Affairs and the university.

Duties & Responsibilities Include:
  • Provide first line of support for Banner HR and Payroll, and Finance users.
  • Ensure the ERP system works as intended.
  • Lead/coordinate process improvement, software implementations, and custom development projects.
  • Create business process documentation.
  • Create/modify WebFOCUS reports as needed.
  • Review and grant access to Banner Finance and HR/Payroll/Finance dashboards.
Suggested Salary Range $50,000 - $65,000. Commensurate with experience & education. Physical Demands of Position
