Take advantage of an exciting and engaging opportunity to serve as the first-ever President, U.S. Naval Community College (NCC), the chief executive charged with creating a predominantly on-line, distance education, fully-accredited learning experience for more than 500,000 enlisted personnel in the Navy and Marine Corps.

As chief administrator, you will plan and execute initial management of the college, with major focus of creating a small staff, develop relationships with extant community colleges and universities across America, and build a robust learning delivery system with pathways to a select group of accredited associate’s degrees in technical and humanities fields.

While creating the U.S Naval Community College, you will lead the development of pedagogy focused on increased learning effectiveness and greater agility to respond to changes in the global security environment. You will also have the opportunity to influence needed Congressional support, as well as Department of Defense and Department of the Navy leadership, Volunteer Service Organizations, Non-Governmental Organizations, and the civilian academy.

Deep leadership experience in successful distance learning/on-line accredited education is desired. Competitive compensation is available for a candidate with the right knowledge, skills, and experience to help shape the future of naval education.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.

Please send your cover letter of interest and CV/resume to the Department of the Navy Executive Personnel Office at don_exec_personn.fct@navy.mil.  *Consideration and selection will follow a 60 day rolling recruitment.
