The University of Maryland School of Medicine and Department of Neurology is recruiting a new full-time faculty member with specialty training in headache at the Assistant or Associate Professor level to expand our headache program. Clinical responsibilities will include 70-80% clinical effort at both University of Maryland Medical Center Midtown and Downtown campuses. The faculty member will expand a multi-disciplinary outpatient practice focusing on headache, migraine, facial pain syndromes. Clinical responsibilities will also include inpatient consultation as well as procedures such as chemodenervation, nerve blocks, trigger point injections, infusion protocols and alternative approaches as appropriate, as well as coordinate clinical trials related to headache. Strong collaboration with behavioral health and integrative pain services is expected. The headache faculty will participate in education and teaching of medical students and residents and assist with launch of a headache fellowship.
