The Department of Pharmaceutics is currently seeking two postdoctoral fellows in the Nanotherapeutics Laboratory directed by Dr. Qingguo Xu, Blick Scholar, Assistant Professor at Department of Pharmaceutics, Virginia Commonwealth University. This research program is translational research to develop novel therapeutics to treat eye diseases and opioid use disorder with enhanced efficacy and improved patient compliance. Passionate and driven researchers with a strong background in biomaterials (e.g. electrospinning), drug delivery or other biomedical research are strongly encouraged to apply. The postdoc fellow will participate NIH -funded research projects and get comprehensive training in translational therapeutics.

Required Qualifications

-Successful candidates must hold a PhD in the field of polymers, biomaterials, drug delivery, pharmaceutics or a related area.
-This position requires a highly motivated candidate, who has excellent oral and written communications skills.
-Incumbent must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative research group.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong background in biomaterials (e.g. electrospinning), drug delivery or other biomedical research preferred.
