The Department of Modern Language Studies at Lycoming College invites applications for a Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of French beginning fall 2020. This position has a 3/3 teaching load, as well as research and service expectations.
Lycoming College is a National Liberal Arts College with about 1,300 students located in Williamsport, PA (www.lycoming.edu). Williamsport is a small city of approximately 30,000 that is nestled in the mountains of north central Pennsylvania. Williamsport is centrally located from New York City, Washington DC, and Philadelphia and offers ample opportunities for cultural entertainment and outdoor recreation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Ph.D. required. Native or near-native fluency as well as demonstrated teaching competency in French required. The ideal candidate will have sustained living experience in a French-speaking country, evidence of excellence in undergraduate teaching, and evidence of potential for related scholarship.
