The Department of Africana Studies is seeking applications for a two-year Visiting Assistant Professor (VAP) position, with the possibility of conversion to a tenure track position, depending on resources. A Ph.D. in a Social Sciences related field from a university accredited by the U.S. Department of Education or an internationally recognized accrediting organization is required. We are seeking candidates with expertise in East, West and South African History. Preferred research areas include African economics and African politics, but other research areas on African affairs will also be considered.
