Ph.D. in Theater in hand. Research and teaching expertise in theater and performance studies. Experience in translation and adaption of plays. Minimum of two years' experience teaching English and Women's Gender, and Sexuality Studies Courses.
Research and teaching on contemporary female playwrights, experimental theater, dramaturgy, and queer culture in contemporary theater. Teaching that emphasizes the relationship between scholarship and activism.
Responsibilities & Requirements
The Assistant Professor will teach a 2/2 load, and additionally supervise graduate student work, divided between the English and Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies departments. This individual will publish research in the specified field and will also contribute to the missions of EGL, EGSS, and CAS, through service.
This is a tenure track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously. Anticipated Start Date: 9/1/2020.
