The faculty member will teach interdisciplinary classes on European visual, literary, musical, and performing arts of the Renaissance and Baroque periods. The faculty member will be required to teach 4 courses per semester plus 2 during the summer. 12-month contract begins August 2020. Minimum Qualifications: Master’s degree from an accredited institution in History, Cultural Studies, or other relevant discipline.  Must meet university criteria for appointment to the rank of Instructor.

Preferred Qualifications: PhD in History, Cultural Studies, or other relevant discipline. Preference will be given to candidates whose work explores the relationships between a text’s formal features and its social and cultural contexts. Additional preference will be given to applicants who have at least one year experience teaching university undergraduates in large (100+) sections.
