Degree and area of specialization:

MD or DO - Board eligible or certified in Neurology.

Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

General neurology or equivalent experience. Candidates for clincial associate professor or full clinical professor rank must meet criteria for appointment at rank per UW School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for appointment and promotion on the Clinician Teacher track.

Academic credentials and experience for appointment at the selected rank of a non-tenure School of Medicine and Public Health track focusing primarily on clinical and teaching excellence. Appointment at the rank of associate or full professor rank requires meeting criteria for appointment level as defined in School of Medicine and Public Health guidelines for promotion or appointment to associate professor or professor on the Clinical Health Sciences track.

License or Certificate:

Licensed or eligible for Wisconsin medical license. Board eligible or certified in Neurology.

Position Summary:

Clinical responsibilities includes consult, inpatient and outpatient activities at the Meriter, UW Health American Center (TAC), and Rehabilitation Hospital five days per week. Teaching responsibilities include teaching medical student courses and clerkship, mentoring graduate students and trainees, training residents, fellows and medical students and teaching continuing education programs for physicians and the public.
