Job Description Summary

Faculty Part-Time, Accepting applications to establish a pool of applicants for possible future openings. Salary commensurate with degree.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Science or related field
2. One year of full-time or part-time equivalent pertinent professional work experience as an evidence or laboratory technician in the area of forensic science OR five years of full-time or part-time equivalent pertinent professional work experience as an evidence or laboratory technician in the area of forensic science.

Criteria

CRITERIA :The following criteria, which are not the sole criteria used in the final hiring decision, will be used to review the applications of those persons who meet the stated minimum qualifications and to select those qualified applicants who will be interviewed. Other information and observations made during the interview process may be considered in the selection process.

1. Extent of relevant teaching experience.
2. Extent of educational/training preparation and work experience in the Forensic Science field.
3. Extent of scope and diversity of content areas in which teaching assignments can be undertaken.
4. Extent of experience in developing teaching techniques and testing formats to reach a diverse, multi-cultural student population.

Job Requirements

1. Degree from an accredited institution and/or documentation of experience and performance required.
2. Unofficial transcripts must accompany application for teaching positions. Official transcripts of academic work required upon an offer of employment.
3. Letters of reference must be job related and dated within the past three years.
4. Availability for instruction 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. weekdays, and/or evenings Monday through Friday.
5. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
6. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
