Job Description Summary

To provide auxiliary services (i.e., note taking, test proctoring) and assist with special testing services for students with various disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Experience reading and writing college level material or providing auxiliary services such as note-taking, test proctoring or special testing services to students with documented disabilities.
  3. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be able to speak/write clearly and concisely.
  4. Strong interpersonal skills.
  5. Must be punctual, highly dependable, responsible, and well-organized.
  6. Must be able to operate tape-recording devices.


Criteria

CRITERIA : The following criteria, which are not the sole criteria used in the final hiring decision, will be used to review the applications of those persons who meet the stated minimum qualifications and to select those qualified applicants who will be interviewed. Other information and observations made during the interview process may be considered in the selection process.   1. Extent of ability to read/write college level material and operate recording devices.
  2. Ability to perform detailed work in a classroom environment and meet deadlines.
  3. Extent of experience with persons with disabilities.


Job Requirements

  1. Must be available to work during the Spring/Summer/Fall semester.
  2. Must be available to work flexible daytime and evening hours.
  3. Must be willing to work at the Largo campus site as well as other off-campus locations (University Town Center, Laurel College Center, Andrews Air Force Base, etc.)
  4. Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
  5. As required by the 1986 Immigration Act, be prepared to present acceptable documentation showing your identity and that you are a U.S. citizen or an alien who is authorized to work.
