Job Description:

The English Department at Western Kentucky University seeks applicants for a tenure-eligible position in Fiction Writing; secondary interest in literary nonfiction and background in literary journal or book editing desirable. 

 

Responsibilities: Teaching upper level and graduate MFA courses in the specialty, introductory creative writing courses, and general education courses, including composition; continued creative and scholarly productivity; service to the department and university; oversight of student literary journal; development of opportunities for students through internships and other forms of professional networking.


Requirements:

PhD or MFA in creative writing by time of appointment; demonstrated excellence in and commitment to undergraduate teaching and general education; record of significant creative production in fiction writing; and record of significant professional activities.
