The course focuses on models, qualities and characteristics of management and leadership within the public and non-profit sectors. Students will explore concepts of strategic management, team building, shared vision, pluralism, empowerment, agenda setting, and human resource management. Central to this class is the examination of how disputes are resolved from the perspectives of management, law, government, media, labor and the public.

Duties and Responsibilities
The Master of Public Administration program ( MPA ) is seeking an adjunct lecturer to teach the Management and Conflict Resolution (PA-540) course in the spring 2020 trimester. This is a three credit course taught one evening per week. Classes will start in the last week of February and end in the middle of May.
Qualification Standards
Must be detail oriented, creative, and organized
Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated excellence in teaching adult learners preferred
Education
Candidates should have a Masters or PhD Degree in Public Administration, Management, or a related field.
Experience
Experience working with a non-profit or public organization in management or conflict resolution, preferred
