The Department of Biomedical Engineering in the College of Engineering at Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to assist with research in cardiovascular mechanics and imaging, especially MRIs.
Required Qualifications
• Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related field
• Growing record of experience and peer-reviewed publications in biomechanics and/or medical imaging
• Competency in MATLAB for imaging processing and/or computational mechanics
Preferred Qualifications
• Prior experience in cardiovascular mechanics and imaging, especially MRI
• Eagerness to help mentor graduate and undergraduate students
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in pursuing internal and external grants
