African Americanist tenure-track and open-rank faculty position

The Africana Studies and Research Center at Cornell University invites applications for an African Americanist tenure-track and open-rank faculty position with a starting date of July 1, 2020. We are interested in candidates who specialize in any period(s) with a preference for the 20th, and 21st centuries and whose research will contribute to our current offerings in political, philosophical and intellectual history and thought, Black feminism, critical race theory, and the societal impacts of race and racism from a social scientific perspective. 

While the specific field of expertise is open, related areas of research may include but are not limited to the following: Religious Studies, Psychology, Sociology, History, Youth Studies, Environmental Studies, Performance and Media studies, Queer Studies.     We encourage applications from candidates with track records of engagement with their respective fields of expertise from an Africana perspective.
